Citizen Change has been selected to screen June 20 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco as an official selection of Frameline36, the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.
Filmmaker James Chambers is delighted that Frameline has chosen to include Citizen Change as part of its festival, the oldest and largest LGBT film festival in the world. “I’m glad that the pioneering activists who made Domestic Partnership a reality will receive some much-deserved recognition,” he said. “The work they did to achieve legal recognition for same-sex couples led directly to today’s movement toward full marriage equality.”
Chambers will be happy to respond to press inquiries. Please use the contact page to reach him.
Two of the interview subjects, Tom Brougham and Barry Warren, who invented the term “domestic partner” and spearheaded the enactment of the first policy, can also be reached through the contact page.
